Supporting the Social Emotional Needs of Our Educators

Online Aug 2 1:00 am to 2:00 am - Pacific Time (US & Canada)

Price: Free

The demands of teachers are immense and seemingly endless. Promethean’s Head of Professional Development along with teacher contributors Brittany and Hailey will be hosting an open panel discussion around the social and emotional needs of educators.

For the entirety of the pandemic and its aftermath, educators have had to support students in complex learning environments, being the teacher, tech support, content developers, and student support system. In this discussion, we will turn the focus towards the needs and realities of teachers.

With insights from Promethean’s recent Future Predictions Report, we will deep dive into the existing and expected challenges teachers combat, with a discussion on tools and tactics educators can employ to build a strong support system for teachers. You’ll learn:

  • How technology can support educator productivity
  • Tools and tactics to bolster social-emotional wellbeing for educators
  • Predictions into the future of education over the next 25 years
  • What is the reality of the profession today, and what can the education community do together to ensure teachers remain in the profession?
  • How educators can use mindfulness exercises throughout the school day to maintain social connections and personal wellbeing
