Play is how kids learn. By creating a forum for conversation around play and technology, the Sandbox Summit strives to ensure that the next generation of players become active innovators, rather than passive users, of technology. Produced annually at MIT, in partnership with the MIT Comparative Media Studies and The Education Arcade, the conference is attended by thought leaders, developers and marketers from media, technology, toy companies, researchers, educators and journalists. This year features a "Pitch Perfect" event that will feature six to eight education and gaming startups; interested companies must apply here by Dec. 16.
