OpenEd Jam

San Antonio, TX - Jul 25 1:00 pm to Jul 27, 2014 5:00 pm

$51 to $250

OpenEd Jam is a 3-day international event that brings together activists, developers, educators, engineers, librarians, and makers from all fields. We will provide a hands-on environment where participants can collaborate on innovative creations and uses of free and open education resources.

Considering the cultural, ethical and technical implications of free and open education resources, we'll come together to discuss, demonstrate and support the future of free and open education.

We have three tracks: Curriculum, Hardware and Software as well as rounds of Lightning Talks.

All three days participants can expect highly interactive hands-on workshops, demonstrations and discussions. Days 2 and 3 will have an ongoing Playground/Hackathon with lots of goodies! And in the spirit of collaboration, Day 3 will have an unconference component.

We also have an exciting line up of keynote speakers! Our keynote speakers include: Walter Bender of SugarLabs, Beatriz Busaniche of Creative Commons and Wikimedia Foundation Argentina, and Josef Prusa of RepRap.

Join us for 3 days of jamming, interacting and exploring the world of free and open education possibilities!

Early registration is $150 and ends April 30th, so get your tickets now!
