Mastery Learning: “School Is Not Broken”
In a landscape where educators are being asked to do more with less, now is the time to invest in our schools' most valuable resource: teachers. This session will examine what we call the “Data Gap” and address how teachers can generate data in a more actionable manner. Additionally, engage with us on how schools are making the transition to Mastery Learning initiatives, and just as important, why they are interested in this transition.
Formative Assessment: What’s the Real Deal?
A moderated discussion on how formative assessment has taken on different interpretations and examine where the research touting formative assessment fits in.
MasteryConnect & Socrative in Action
Join in “use case” rich demonstrations of MasteryConnect and Socrative. With MasteryConnect, teachers have found a powerful, yet approachable solution to identify levels of understanding, target students for intervention, and improve learning and instruction. Socrative, the most-used interactive student response system in schools today, helps teachers improve student engagement and participation, while fostering data-informed instruction and peer-based learning. Finally, practical applications of mastery learning and formative assessment!
