Gaming to Learn

Stanford, CA - Feb 26 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm

All work and no play made Jack go a little nuts. In today's digital era, the potential for learning through well-designed, engaging games has drawn ever more scholarly, practitioner, and business interest. This forum, part of Stanford's "Education's Digital Future" series, will consider the opportunities and challenges of gaming to learn in education’s digital future. Speakers at this panel will include Malcolm Bauer (director of assessments at GlassLab Games), James Gee (professor of literacy studies at ASU), Dan Schwartz (LIFE Faculty Leadership Team at Stanford), and Constance Steinkuehler (Co-director of Games+Learning+Society).
