We've all read a lot about "hacking your degree" or the new education possibilities of badges and bootcamps (coding or otherwise). Educelerate (@Educelerate, Educelerate.com) is working to organize a new community to explore how to hack together our own bootcamps, leveraging our collective expertise and all the open online technology and content available today!
Join us for a casual forum and Q&A on how several trailblazers leveled up, switched, or kickstarted their careers. We’ll cover best practices, lessons learned, and recommendations - and we encourage you to share your own! After the forum, we’ll have time for attendees and panelists alike to check out and show of the online resources they used and the projects that they learned to build and create.
Attendees will leave this event feeling empowered to navigate the overwhelming space of alternative educational credentials. Join us, and become part of our new Chicago community of motivated learners, looking to advance their careers and learn the key job skills of the future! Bring an open mind - and your laptop!
Attendees will receive a 15% discount towards any Udacity Nanodegree ($30/month value).
Educelerate is the nation's only not-for-profit, community organized education innovation network, counting nearly 3,000 members in Chicago, Twin Cities, Los Angeles, Colorado and beyond.
