In this intensive bootcamp – offered online and in Philadelphia – entrepreneurs are guided by an attorney specializing in tech and VC Law through effective strategies for overcoming the many challenges that frequently plague early-stage education startups.

Attendees will gain valuable information regarding corporate structure; IP ownership of patents and more; equity and vesting among co-founders and early-stage employees; data privacy (GDPR, COPPA, FERPA, SOPIPPA); data security; ADA compliance; insurance; and regulatory considerations.

FACILITATOR: Matt Johnson is an attorney in Cooley LLP’s Education, Education Technology, and Privacy & Data Security practice groups and resident in Cooley’s Washington, DC office. His practice primarily focuses on assisting education technology companies (from prefunding stage to IPO) and education institutions regarding the wide variety of legal and market issues impacting this highly regulated sector.
