EDesign Lab, Developers for Good, Code Montage, and New Visions for Public Schools are convening a K-12-focused hackathon, hosted with the newly opened Center for Social Innovation on the weekend of June 1-2. (It is also a part of National Day for Civic Hacking.) The hackathon will comprise of two tracks: 1) Design or build your own K-12 learning apps or games that address high impact needs; or 2) contribute to open source prototypes of tools that have been tested in schools and prototyped by the EDesign Lab. Compelling hacks and hackathon winners will have the opportunity to get educator feedback and a user testing session/pilot in a school(s). Register here for free! Prizes to be announced.
