Creating Brave Spaces: Leveraging Student Voices for Social Action

Online May 3 10:00 am to 11:00 am - Pacific Time (US & Canada)

Price: Free

Every student should feel included and empowered. By seeing themselves and their stories reflected accurately in curriculum, students can build capacity to share their narratives; appreciate the lived experiences of others; and develop tools for self advocacy, community collaboration and civic engagement. This session will empower participants to engage in conversations regarding how educators at all levels can modify instruction and technology to co-collaborate and build student capacity for social action and scholar activism.

Presented by Sawsan Jaber, consultant, Education Unfiltered; teacher-Leader, Leyden High School; ISTE Community Leader
