Conference to Restore Humanity

Conference to Restore Humanity! is an international invitation for K-12 and college educators to engage in a human-centered system redesign: centering the needs of students and educators toward a praxis of social justice.We are providing educators with the proper tools to build classroom environments that value the humanity of all involved.

Our goal is to create a space that breeds innovation through like-minded individuals who draw upon hundreds of years of history and countless research studies. Over the course of four days (and more, if needed), educators will learn at their own pace in an in-depth track on progressive education.

Our keynotes consist of:

• Dr. Henry Giroux, founding theorist of critical pedagogy
• Dr. Denisha Jones, professor and co-editor of Black Lives Matter at School
• The Harvest Collegiate Circle Keepers, a high school student-led organization focused on transformative justice

Our tracks are:

• Disrupting Linguistics Education with Drs. Megan Figueroa and Connie Gillon
• Building Anti-Carceral Classrooms with Drs. Connie Wun, Sabina Vaught, & Damien Sojoyner
• DIY at the Edges with the neurodivergent advocacy organization Stimpunks
• Childism in Education with The Childism Institute at Rutgers
• (Plus a bonus track for everyone from the service Floop: Ungrading and Feedback-Driven Learning)
