Building Cybersecurity Pathways for All Students

Cybersecurity is a top priority for organizations and businesses today, yet over 300,000 cybersecurity jobs remain unfilled due to a lack of qualified applicants. Many schools and districts are designing and refining cybersecurity pathways so students can pursue these careers.

The Dell Technologies Cybersecurity Summit provides an opportunity for schools and districts to collaborate while learning more about the possibilities for K-12 cybersecurity programs. We’ll provide opportunities to share strategies and resources such as supporting technologies, teacher recruitment and retention, partnerships, and work-based learning opportunities. Students can engage in cyber challenges and explore pathways to careers in cybersecurity*.

Why you should attend? Whether you are currently implementing a program or are interested in launching one, this virtual summit will provide an opportunity to:

  • Create a community for K-12 schools and districts focused on cybersecurity programs.
  • Share and collaborate on best practices when implementing a K-12 cybersecurity program.
  • Provide resources and technology guidance to support K-12 cybersecurity programs.
  • Understand the job market and various career pathways.

What’s covered in this virtual conference series? Through keynotes, panel discussions, and breakout sessions, participants will collaborate with one another and learn from student, colleague, and expert perspectives. The overall schedule and session details can be found on the Summit Website.

Featured Speaker: Kyla Guru, Founder of Bits N’ Bytes Cybersecurity

Upon discovering that 90% of cyberattacks were due to human error, Kyla founded Bits N’ Bytes Cybersecurity Education (BNBCE) to combat this issue. Kyla has championed her message of cybersecurity resilience on national and international stages including TEDxChicago, NIST’s NICE Conference, RSAC-USA, and RSAC Singapore 2019. In addition to co-founding GirlCon Chicago Conference, Kyla has been honored as Crain Chicago’s Top 50 in Tech, a Stanford She+++ fellow, a 2018 Global Teen Leader, and a 2019 Harvard Book Prize Award Winner.
