ISKME’s Big Ideas Fest, December 4-7, 2016, San Jose, CA, Dolce Hayes Mansion
Big Ideas Fest is a global gathering of change-makers representing K-12, higher education, and informal education, participating in a unique three-day immersion in collaboration and design. Catalyzing innovation in education since 2009, Big Ideas Fest has proven to be a launching pad for introducing significant innovations and trends in education. It features a dynamic slate of speakers and design thinking workshops that inspire and engage participants in a deeply collaborative fast-paced environment.
Each year, we gather education mavericks and change-makers from around the world resulting in a terrific opportunity for cross-fertilization of ideas among all education stakeholders, with design-thinking at its best--crafted by educators for educators.
This year, our theme Educating to Be Human will focus on how to design learning environments where the whole self is supported and nurtured. Big Ideas Fest 2016 will showcase innovators working to catalyze change through, for example, social emotional learning, conflict resolution, and refugee education. Our goal: A shared commitment to developing education practice steeped in empathy, compassion, kindness, grit and bravery.
