Donna Williamson is the CTO for the Mountain Brook School in Alabama, a district of 4300 students. She was also one of the founding members for the Alabama Education Technology Association (AETA).

Brief Biography

Donna Williamson is the CTO for the Mountain Brook School, a district of 4300 students. Mountain Brook is a suburb of Birmingham, AL. Donna worked as a technology teacher and district technology coordinator for small school district west of Birmingham for 12 years prior to being selected to lead the technology initiative for Mountain Brook Schools in 1994. She has been a thought leader in instructional technology since 1982. She speaks at numerous state and national conference each year and consults with select school systems. 

Donna serves on multiple state technology plan and technology education curriculum committees. Donna was one of the founding members for the Alabama Education Technology Association (AETA) and continues to be an active part of that organization as well as serving as the current chairperson for CALL (CoSN ALabama Leaders). She is a longtime member of CoSN and is currently serving on the Executive Committee as the CoSN Board secretary. Mrs. Williamson has served or is currently serving on the Chalkable (formerly STI) Advisory Board, as a feature speaker for AASBO, facilitator for AETC, consultant, and on the COSN Emerging Technologies Committee, CTO Council, and first CETL Item Writing Committee. She is a long-time member of ISTE and a recipient of the Making It Happen Award.
