EXPLAIN EVERYTHING, an interactive whiteboard app that lets users draw, write and learn on mobile devices, has raised $3.7 million in a Series A2 round led by London-based EBRD Venture Capital Investment Programme. Previous investors Credo Ventures, New Europe Ventures and RTAventures also participated in the round. According to Reshan Richards, chief learning officer at Explain Everything, the funding will be used to further develop the K-12 education tool, and also expand the app’s reach in enterprise and corporate learning markets. “We didn't think about enterprises adopting more user-centered creative practices so soon,” Richards said, “but apparently companies are ready.”
Previously, the Wroclaw, Poland-based company raised $2 million in a Series A round in 2015, bringing the Explain Everything’s total funding to $5.7 million. According to TechCrunch, the app has been downloaded more than 4 million times and has around 840,000 active monthly users.
