S'Cool Tools of the Week: The National Geographic Mars Collection and Ask, Listen, Learn

This week in S’Cool Tools, we've got two free tools for you, chosen by the EdSurge team. If you’d like to be featured in our S’Cool Tools column, click here to leave your very own Teacher Case Study.

Ask, Listen, Learn: Kids and Alcohol Don’t Mix

Free! It shouldn’t have to cost anything to teach students about the realities of alcohol abuse. So, last week, The Foundation for Advancing Alcohol Responsibility (or Responsibility.org) released this collection of videos and lesson plans to help educators in their efforts to teach about the effects of alcohol on the brain.

The National Geographic Mars Collection

Free! Nat Geo’s got a whole mess of online educational resources, corresponding to its global series MARS, to teach students about the efforts the human race has taken to colonize another planet. The collection includes more than just information on Mars, however, including articles on asteroids, the International Space Station, and how to become an astrophysicist.
